A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM PURPLE REELS
July 22, 2010
It is very necessary to spotlight the positive things going on in our communities. One of the best ways to relay to the world what is going on in our communities is through the art form known as "film." We have been going through a tough time as a nation but we have always managed to hold on somehow. Although some of us still feel like things are not coming together the way that we would like some way, somehow we always seem to recognize that American spirit deep within that allows us to succeed no matter what. It is that American dream that we strive for everyday. Yet how often do we stop to think about those who are not as blessed as we are to have the simple things in life? How often do we really stop and be thankful? Well I would like to offer you a chance to come and witness a great expression of just that...
"RAISING HOPE: THE EQUAL VOICE STORY"is a Documentary that tells the stories of 30,000 low-income people to create a national platform for lifting families out of poverty. If you have the time and are in the Seattle area join regional participants of the national Equal Voice campaign for a special advance screening and refreshments, and learn more about the broad-based effort to advocate for working families.
