A FILM WORTH FIGHTING FOR!
Director-Writer Tanya Hamilton brings to us the inspiring film "Night Catches Us." Starring the phenomenal Kerry Washington, Anthony Mackie, and Jamie Hector.
In 1976, complex political and emotional forces are set in motion when a young man returns to the race-torn Philadelphia neighborhood where he came of age during the Black Power movement.
This movie is one that deserves more attention than it is receiving. It is great to see that Kerry Washington takes on roles that other Actresses may not have taken on. She is famous for her role in movies such as Ray (2004) and The Last King of Scotland (2006).
Anthony Mackie is one of those Actors who do not get the recognition they deserve as well. He is most famous for his roles in movies such as The Manchurian Candidate (2004) and more recently The Hurtlocker (2008).
You may remember Jamie Hector from the hit series The Wire (2002).
